Saab No VAT Offers

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Saab are offering a 15% discount across the whole range - a saving equivalent to paying no VAT.  This deal is available on all Saab models, the 9-3 Saloon, Sport Wagon and Convertible and the 9-5 Saloon and Estate.  By taking advantage of this Saab no VAT offer you could get a brand new Saab 9-3 Saloon Vetor Sport 1.9TID 150bhp for £20978, saving £3116.  The Saab no VAT offers are available until 31st March 2009 and full details of this offer and all other Saab no VAT offers can be found at the Saab offers website.

BUT…. is this offer really that good?  We suspected that by shopping around we could find a better offer on the new Saab we looked at above, and we were right.  uk-car-discount.co.uk have an offer for a new Saab 9-3 Saloon Vector Sport 1.9 TID 150bhp for £19550, saving a further £1400 off the Saab no VAT off and a total of £4545 off list price.  They even have the 180bhp model for less than the Saab no VAT offer on the 150bhp model.  So, our advice to you is to take this offer from Saab (and all manufacturer offers for that matter) with pinch of salt and still continue to shop around as you will generally be able to find an even better offer.

New Vauxhall Insignia Deals

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

The new Vauxhall Insignia has been on sale for about 4 months now, and it is about now in a car’s life cycle that good discounts will start to be offered and you will start to find some good Insignia deals around.

The Vauxhall Insignia comes in 3 bodystyles: a 5 door hatchback, a 4 door saloon and an estate version.  We will be taking a look at each of these models to try and find the best new Vauxhall Insignia deals we can.

Vauxhall Insignia Hatchback Deals

So, let’s begin by looking at Insignia hatchback deals – the cheapest Insignia we have been able to find is for a 1.8 16V Exclusiv 5dr at a price of £12960 from Pentagon Vauxhall and you can view this deal here.  Although this is the cheapest Insignia deal we could find we don’t think that it is necessarily the best deal out there for the Insignia hatchback – we think that honour goes to another deal from Pentagon for an Insignia 2.0 CDTi 160 5dr at a price of £13845 and a saving of just under £3000 we really think that this Insignia deal represents fantastic value for money and you can view this deal here.

Vauxhall Insignia Saloon Deals

Deal Drivers have a 2.0 CDTi Exclusiv Nav 4dr for £14836 saving over £2500.  This is the best Insignia Saloon deal we have been able to find, and with demand for the saloon lower than that for the hatchback it seems that Vauxhall dealers aren’t promoting this body style as much.

Vauxhall Insignia Estate Deals

Buyacar have the full range of Insignia estate models available and there are some good Insignia deals to be had on their website.  Their prices start at £14226 for the 1.8i 16V Exclusiv, saving over £2500, and go up to £24145 for the 2.8T V6 4×4 Elite Nav, saving over £5500.  We recommend that if you are looking for a Vauxhall Insignia estate deal then you should definitely take a look at the buyacar website.

New Vauxhall Corsa Deals

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Today we are going to have a look at the cheapest new Vauxhall Corsa deal we can find.  We started by having a look at Cars2Buy.co.uk’s new Corsa deals pages and found four dealers advertising the lead-in model – the 1.0i 12V Life 3dr.  Deal prices for this vehicle on Cars2Buy.co.uk’s price comparison site range from £6994 to £7376, with the cheapest price offering a saving of just under £2000.  The £6994 deal is for a pre-registered Corsa from Pentagon who are a main Vauxhall dealer based in the midlands, Lancashire and Yorksire.  Cars2Buy also have a new (as opposed to pre-registered) Vauxhall Corsa deal for the 1.0i 12V Life for £6995 from Save On New Cars.

To ensure we are telling you about the best possible new Corsa deals out there we also checked carpricechecker.co.uk’s Vauxhall Corsa deals to see how they compare.  The cheapest price they have to offer on their website is for £7376 (the same as the most expensive on cars2buy.co.uk) and this is for a pre-registered Corsa.  The cheapest new Corsa deal they have is from Hartwell and is £7824 – nearly £900 more expensive than the price from Save On New Cars advertised on cars2buy.co.uk.

If the 1.0i 12V engine from Vauxhall doesn’t particularly take your fancy and you would rather have something with a bit more grunt to it then maybe you would be better having a look at Vauxhall Corsa 1.6T 16V VXR 3dr deals.  We have managed to find this car for £14,004 from buyacar.co.uk and that would definitely be a price worth considering – or at least a price worth using as a bartering tool at your local dealer to try and negotiate a better new Vauxhall Corsa deal.
