New Vauxhall Astra Deals

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

The new Vauxhall Astra has been on sale for a few months and has proved to be a very popular car.  It was the second top selling car in the UK in April 2010, second only to the Ford Fiesta.

It is at about this stage of a new car’s life-cycle that good deals start to become available and it appears to be no different for new Vauxhall Astra deals.  We have found some excellent offers out there on the new Astra.  Perhaps unusually, Vauxhall dealers seem to have as good, if not better, new Astra deals as new car brokers.

Pentagon have a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SRi 5dr for £13,495.  That is a whopping saving of 26% on a brand new car that has only been on sale for a matter of months.

Perrys also have a number of new Astra deals available with discounts of up to 25% available on selected models.

Scrappage Scheme coming to an end

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

With the scrappage scheme not due to end until the end of March, 6 manufacturers have announced that they have already run out of funding.  Vauxhall, Fiat, Volkswagen, Kia, Audi and Hyundai have all had to suspend orders based on the scrappage scheme due to using up their allocation of  funds.

There is real fear within the industry that the end of the scrappage scheme could be spark a serious fall in new car sales.  To try to counter this many manufacturers are planning to launch their own scrappage schemes, with Vauxhall last week launching theirs.  There is a really feeling that once the Government’s scheme ends their will be a real shortage of new car deals available to consumers and sales could plummet.  Vauxhall’s scheme should at least mean that there are some good new Vauxhall deals in the market and surely more manufacturer’s will follow.

New Vauxhall Astra Deals

Friday, May 8th, 2009

The Vauxhall Astra is one of the best selling cars and the market and there are some great Vauxhall Astra deals out there with huge savings on most specifications.  When looking for deals on Vauxhall Astras you may find that Vauxhall dealers are able to compete with the brokers on price and in many cases the best Astra deals are being offered by the dealers.

We have managed to find two new Vauxhall Astra 5 door hatchback deals for under £10,000, both from main Vauxhall dealers.

The first is an Astra 1.4i 16V Active 5dr from Pentagon Group and is available with delivery mileage (it is a pre-registered car) for £9,995 saving nearly £6,000 off the manufacturer’s list price.  The Active specification has air conditioning, sports suspension and CD player with steering wheel mounted controls as standard.  Find the full specification for this car on the Vauxhall website.

If you would rather have a brand new, unregistered Astra than a pre-registered one then the following Astra deal from Perrys might interest you.  Once again the price is £9,995, saving nearly £5,000, but this time the deal is for an Astra 1.4 16V Life 5dr – a lower specification than the above Active but still with electric mirrors and CD player, but no air con.

As well as finding the above new Astra deals we also had a look around at some of the larger new car brokers to see if we could find a comparative deal but the above dealers’ prices were by far the best Astra deals we found.

If you are looking for a deal on an Astra with a bit higher specification then buyanewcaronline.co.uk have an Astra 1.6T 16V SRi Sport Hatch 3dr for £14,378, saving over £5,500.

We hope you have found the above Astra deals useful and New Cars Deals want to wish you luck in finding a great deal on a new Astra.

New Vauxhall Insignia Deals

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

The new Vauxhall Insignia has been on sale for about 4 months now, and it is about now in a car’s life cycle that good discounts will start to be offered and you will start to find some good Insignia deals around.

The Vauxhall Insignia comes in 3 bodystyles: a 5 door hatchback, a 4 door saloon and an estate version.  We will be taking a look at each of these models to try and find the best new Vauxhall Insignia deals we can.

Vauxhall Insignia Hatchback Deals

So, let’s begin by looking at Insignia hatchback deals – the cheapest Insignia we have been able to find is for a 1.8 16V Exclusiv 5dr at a price of £12960 from Pentagon Vauxhall and you can view this deal here.  Although this is the cheapest Insignia deal we could find we don’t think that it is necessarily the best deal out there for the Insignia hatchback – we think that honour goes to another deal from Pentagon for an Insignia 2.0 CDTi 160 5dr at a price of £13845 and a saving of just under £3000 we really think that this Insignia deal represents fantastic value for money and you can view this deal here.

Vauxhall Insignia Saloon Deals

Deal Drivers have a 2.0 CDTi Exclusiv Nav 4dr for £14836 saving over £2500.  This is the best Insignia Saloon deal we have been able to find, and with demand for the saloon lower than that for the hatchback it seems that Vauxhall dealers aren’t promoting this body style as much.

Vauxhall Insignia Estate Deals

Buyacar have the full range of Insignia estate models available and there are some good Insignia deals to be had on their website.  Their prices start at £14226 for the 1.8i 16V Exclusiv, saving over £2500, and go up to £24145 for the 2.8T V6 4×4 Elite Nav, saving over £5500.  We recommend that if you are looking for a Vauxhall Insignia estate deal then you should definitely take a look at the buyacar website.

New Vauxhall Corsa Deals

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Today we are going to have a look at the cheapest new Vauxhall Corsa deal we can find.  We started by having a look at Cars2Buy.co.uk’s new Corsa deals pages and found four dealers advertising the lead-in model – the 1.0i 12V Life 3dr.  Deal prices for this vehicle on Cars2Buy.co.uk’s price comparison site range from £6994 to £7376, with the cheapest price offering a saving of just under £2000.  The £6994 deal is for a pre-registered Corsa from Pentagon who are a main Vauxhall dealer based in the midlands, Lancashire and Yorksire.  Cars2Buy also have a new (as opposed to pre-registered) Vauxhall Corsa deal for the 1.0i 12V Life for £6995 from Save On New Cars.

To ensure we are telling you about the best possible new Corsa deals out there we also checked carpricechecker.co.uk’s Vauxhall Corsa deals to see how they compare.  The cheapest price they have to offer on their website is for £7376 (the same as the most expensive on cars2buy.co.uk) and this is for a pre-registered Corsa.  The cheapest new Corsa deal they have is from Hartwell and is £7824 – nearly £900 more expensive than the price from Save On New Cars advertised on cars2buy.co.uk.

If the 1.0i 12V engine from Vauxhall doesn’t particularly take your fancy and you would rather have something with a bit more grunt to it then maybe you would be better having a look at Vauxhall Corsa 1.6T 16V VXR 3dr deals.  We have managed to find this car for £14,004 from buyacar.co.uk and that would definitely be a price worth considering – or at least a price worth using as a bartering tool at your local dealer to try and negotiate a better new Vauxhall Corsa deal.

Ford Focus and Vauxhall Antara deals

Friday, December 19th, 2008

As a Christmas treat to you all we have 2 fantastic new car offers we have found that we would like to share with you.  They are both from large franchised dealer groups, so are names you can trust when buying a new car.

With new car sales down by over 30% it seems that dealers are getting  a bit desperate to try and clear any in stock vehicles before the end of the year – no doubt to try and meet targets and obtain their much needed bonuses!  But it does mean that there are some brilliant new cars deals out there at the moment.

We have found a Ford Focus 1.8 Style 5 door being advertised by Jennings Ford for an amazing £8999!  And that also includes metallic paint!  That is a saving of over £6500!  We cant find this vehicle on the Jennings website but we have found it on cars2buy.co.uk where you can enquiry direct to Jennings by visiting their Ford Focus deals page.

On cars2buy.co.uk the car is described as being “delivery mileage only” which would normally mean that the car is pre-registered.  So it is probably already registered in the dealers name so that they could meet previous monthly new car registration targets.  So you would technically be the second owner but when weighed up against a saving of approximately 40% on a new car, this seems inconsequential.

The second deal we have for you today is from Perrys and is for a Vauxhall Antara 2.0CDTi 16v E 5dr and can be found on the Perrys website for £13095 saving nearly £9000.  As you can see, its all about shopping around for new cars deals at this time of year as there are some fantastic offers out there if you know where to look.

Happy Christmas to you all.
